Solstice

An accident in an ‘auto-erotic’ game?

When Marty’s work colleague is found dead in an abandoned house on a derelict estate, the police decide it’s an accident.

After all, people have died before in ‘near-death’ experiences.

Marty reacts with disbelief and starts to investigate.

The clue is the orange.

She finds out her colleague is not as ‘nice’ as she thought.

Then she discovers that his death is one of many.

She also has to fight against a policeman’s prejudices.

And when Detective O’Neill says he likes her, is it because he wants information about her boss?

Yet Marty, aka Jazwinder Patel, who’s running from an arranged marriage, has her own demons to deal with and they chase her relentlessly.

The threads of the story come together, and reveal a murky underbelly, which most people would rather keep hidden.
